Civilian winners 1st through 3rd both men and women will be awarded prizes.  One winner both men and women for the poolees will win prizes.&lt;br /&gt;Be sure to bring regular shoes, Oly-lift shoes, and a pair of running or trail shoes you don’t mind getting muddy in case the sky falls.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There will be some food and drink on site, but there are also a plethora of restaurants and grocery stores very close by.  We are going to try to keep a pretty tight schedule for the event, so please try to not wander off for too long.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;RX’d weights will be given.  If a WOD must be scaled, that competitor will not be officially scored for that given event.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Google and mapquest directions to our facility tend to be wrong, so if you get lost call or stop and ask someone where the ice rink is, or ask where A Game Sportsplex is located.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All future Marine WOD’s will follow civilian WOD’s.  We encourage everyone to cheer on these young men and women. color: rgb(255, 102, 0);font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:180%;"  &gt;Who:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;Any and all CrossFitters, USMC personnel or any fitness enthusiast who is up for a challenge.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;However, it is STRONGLY encouraged that you have some exposure to the CrossFit program before deciding to compete. These workouts are deigned to increase the work capacity of the world's fittest human beings and are not to be taken lightly. USMC personnel will be competing in 3 events all on Saturday.&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;The exact events will not be revealed until the Monday before the competition.&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;CrossFitters will be tested using traditional and non-traditional training modalities.  Meaning, you might be using barbells or you might be shoveling gravel.  Who knows?!? Prepare for anything!  The USMC events will be CrossFit style but will utilize equipment that is found on bases and in combat instead of traditional CrossFit gear.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The scoring will be exactly the same as at the CF Games this year. Our relationship with the local United States Marine Corps recruiting stations is also a driving motivation for this event in order to bring exposure and awareness to the sacrifices and contributions our local military is providing for our country. We want this competition to act as a way for CrossFitters from all over the region and local USMC to come together and compete under the same roof. For us CrossFitters, this competition will either allow you to see where you stand in the grand scheme of physical ability against other regional CrossFitters or just allow you to take a weekend to be around people who love CrossFit as much as you do. For the USMC, it will allow enlisted recruits and commissioned personnel to compete side by side in front of friends, family and potential future Marines.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We realize that having this event start early on Friday will require most people to take off from work and school.  Having been to local competitions before, we realize that the worst part about an event that occurs on Saturday and Sunday is finishing that last event, staying around for the prize ceremony and then having to get back in your car and travel back only to get  home late and have to wake up the next morning for work/school.  By having this competition end on Saturday, it will allow all competitors, friends and family to come together afterward, relax and socialize with each other and bring a festive and relaxing end to a physically and mentally grueling weekend.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We will be arranging for a large social gathering at a local restaurant or bar for everyone to attend following the prize ceremony on Saturday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hotel accomidations have been made with all local area hotels.
